Lyricsung FAQ

Updated

Lyricsung is free to start: the first song works without an account, and each run gives you two takes of your song in about a minute. Below are short answers about accounts, prices, downloads, rights and privacy. Who runs the site and how its pages are made is on the About page.

Making a song

Do I need an account to make a song?

No. The first song works without one: put your words in the lyrics box, choose a style and press Make my song. After that, signing in with your email address gives you a free account with two runs a day.

Anything you make before signing in is kept in that browser for 30 days and joins your account the moment you sign in.

How long until my song is ready?

About a minute. You don’t have to wait on the page: if you close it, the finished song is still saved to your library.

Why do I get two versions?

Each run sings your lyrics twice, as takes with their own melody and arrangement, so you can keep the one you like. They come from the same run and cost one credit between them.

How much text can I paste?

The lyrics box holds 5,000 characters; the style takes 1,000 more and a title 80. A song stops at about 7 minutes, though, so in a lyric of more than about 850 words the last lines may not be sung. The counter under the lyrics box shows roughly how long your words will sing and warns you when they may not fit; the song structure guide explains how words turn into minutes.

Can I choose the kind of voice?

Yes. The full list is under More options: male, female, duet, choir, rap, whisper, soft, powerful, raspy, falsetto, spoken word, deep male, bright female, androgynous, vocoder, autotuned, operatic, gospel, belting, breathy, gritty, group vocals or harmonies. Sing my lyrics puts seven of them above the lyrics box. Each one asks for a kind of voice, never a particular singer. Left on Auto, the style decides.

Which languages can it sing?

We have tested English, Spanish, French and German with lyrics of our own, and in each one every word was sung, by the engine’s own word check; Sing my lyrics shows how we tested. The music model sings other languages too; each one is added here once we have tested it the same way.

What can’t I use?

Lyrics from a song someone else released, and a real singer’s name as the style. Released lyrics are refused, so the words have to be your own. If the style names a real singer or band, the name is taken out and the song goes ahead without it.

What happens if a song fails?

Its credit comes back by itself. A run can fail when the lyrics are refused or the music model has a problem; either way it costs you nothing, and you can change the words and try again.

Free use and paying

Is Lyricsung free?

Yes, for making songs and listening to them. Without an account you get one song; a free account gets two runs a day, or four songs. Downloads are what you pay for: $1.99 for a single song, or a paid plan for every song.

The free runs top up at midnight UTC each day; ones you don’t use don’t carry over to the next day.

What is a credit?

One credit is one run of your lyrics, which makes two songs. A free account gets two a day and Pro gets 100 a month; a plan’s credits start again each month, while credits bought in a pack never expire.

How do I download my song?

Paid plans download every song, as MP3 or lossless WAV. Without a plan, buy the MP3 of one song for $1.99, or 10 credits for $2.99: songs made with those credits come with their MP3.

How much do the paid plans cost?

Pro: $13.90 monthly, or $107 for a year ($8.90 per month), with 100 runs each month and every song downloadable. Ultra: $29.90 monthly, or $19.90 per month on the yearly plan, with 300 runs each month. Either plan’s first month carries 50 extra runs. Pricing compares them side by side.

How do I cancel a plan?

Open your account page, choose Manage subscription and cancel there. You keep the plan through the time already paid for, and no further payment is taken; time left unused isn’t refunded.

What happens to my songs when a plan ends?

Nothing is lost: songs made during the plan remain in your library and can still be downloaded. Anything you make afterwards is treated like a free account’s songs.

Your songs and your words

Who can hear my songs?

Only you, plus anyone you send a link to. Songs aren’t listed anywhere on the site, and a shared song can be switched back to private whenever you like.

Can I release my song on Spotify or YouTube?

Not yet. Personal use only for now: commercial licences aren’t offered yet. Your lyrics remain yours either way, and our guide to turning lyrics into a song explains who owns an AI-made song.

How do I delete a song or my account?

For one song, open its menu in your library and choose Delete. For everything, use Delete account on your account page: it removes the account together with every song, the audio files and the lyrics and descriptions you typed, and cancels a paid plan so no further payment is taken. Records of payments stay with our payment processor, as tax rules require.

Signing in and getting help

How do I sign in?

With your email address: we send a six-digit code to type in, so there is no password to remember.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Lyricsung runs in your phone’s browser with nothing to install, and the lyrics box has a Paste button for words you keep in your notes.

How do I get help?

Write to support@lyricsung.com about a song, your account or a payment, and include the email address you sign in with. The contact page lists what else helps us answer in one reply.

Still unsure? Try a few lines you wrote: the first song needs no account.
