Lyricsung terms of service

1. What Lyricsung does

Lyricsung turns lyrics into songs. You give it words, a style and any settings you like; a third-party AI music model writes the melody, arranges the music and sings the words with a synthetic voice. Each run gives you two takes.

Results vary from run to run, and the model may stretch, repeat or skip words to fit a melody. Two people can receive songs that sound alike. We work to keep Lyricsung available, but it can be interrupted, for example by maintenance or a problem at one of our providers, and its features may change.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 to use Lyricsung. Your first song needs no account; after that you sign in with your email address, using a one-time code we send you, or with Google where that is offered. One account per person.

Keep your email account safe: anyone who can read your sign-in codes can use your Lyricsung account. Credits and purchases belong to your Lyricsung account and can’t be moved to another one.

3. Your lyrics and other input

You keep every right you have in what you write. You give us permission to store it, to send it to the music model to make your songs, and to show it and the songs to you and to anyone you share a link with. That permission ends when you delete the song or your account, apart from copies in our backups, which are replaced within eight weeks.

You confirm that you have the right to use whatever you put in. We may count and measure lyrics and songs in aggregate, for example how many lines a verse usually has, and publish the results as shares or typical values. We never publish your words or your songs without your permission.

4. The songs you make

For now, songs made on Lyricsung are for personal, non-commercial use. You may listen to them, keep them, share them by link, and play them to friends and family or at a private event. You may not release them on streaming services, sell them, use them in advertising, paid work or monetised videos, or register them with a content-identification system, unless we later offer a commercial licence that covers it.

We don’t claim the words you wrote. The melody, arrangement and voice are generated by the model, and in many countries material generated by AI is not protected by copyright, so we can’t promise that a song is unique or that nobody else may use something similar. Where a platform or the law asks you to, say that a song was made with AI.

We may remove a song, or stop it being shared, if it breaks these terms.

5. What you may not do

Don’t use Lyricsung to:

• use lyrics you have no right to use, including the lyrics of a song someone else released;
• ask for the voice or style of a named real singer, or pass a song off as theirs;
• make content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing or threatening, or that sexualises anyone under 18;
• make sexual, defamatory or deceptive content about a real person without their consent;
• send spam, run scams or spread malware;
• get around the free allowance, for example with several accounts or automated sign-ups;
• scrape, copy, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or test its security without our written permission;
• resell access to Lyricsung.

We may refuse a request, remove content, and suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

6. Free use, credits and plans

What you get for free, what each plan includes and what everything costs are set out on the pricing page, which forms part of these terms. Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay; your bank may charge a fee for paying in another currency.

One credit makes one run of your lyrics. The free allowance tops up each day and doesn’t carry over; a plan’s credits start again each month and don’t carry over either. Credits bought in a pack don’t expire while your account exists. Credits have no cash value and can’t be sold, transferred or exchanged. When a run fails, its credit comes back automatically.

Plans renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. If we change a plan’s price, we will tell you before you are charged the new price, and you can cancel before then.

7. Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe: you pay on Stripe’s checkout page, and we never see your full card number. A payment that is refunded or reversed ends what it paid for, whether that is plan time, a download or credits.

8. Cancelling a plan

You can cancel at any time from your account page, under Manage subscription. The plan keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for and then stops; nothing more is charged, and the unused part of the period isn’t refunded.

If a renewal payment fails, your account uses the free allowance until the payment goes through, and if it stays unpaid the plan ends. Songs made while a plan was active remain downloadable for you after it ends.

9. Refunds

Every run costs us money at the music model the moment it is made, so used credits, downloaded songs and past plan periods aren’t refunded.

If you were charged by mistake, or a technical failure kept you from getting what you paid for, write to support@lyricsung.com within 14 days of the charge. We will look into it in good faith and put it right.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the law where you live. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the law gives you a right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of making it; to use it, write to support@lyricsung.com within that time.

10. Copyright complaints

If you believe a song on Lyricsung uses your work without permission, write to support@lyricsung.com and include: your name and contact details; the work you own; the link to the song; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorised; and a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or may act for them, with your physical or electronic signature.

Once a notice is complete, we remove or disable what it concerns, tell the person whose song it is, and close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly. If your song was removed and you think that was a mistake, reply to our message and tell us why.

11. Closing your account, or ours

You can delete your account at any time from your account page; the privacy policy explains what that deletes.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is used for fraud. If we close Lyricsung, or close your account for a reason that isn’t your doing, we will refund the unused part of any plan you paid for in advance.

12. No guarantees

Lyricsung is provided as it is and as available. We don’t promise that every song will sing every word as written, suit a particular purpose or sound unlike other music, or that the service will always be available. Some countries don’t allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

13. Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

14. Disputes and the law that applies

Please write to us first: most problems can be settled by email. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. If you are a consumer living in the EU, the UK or another country with its own consumer protection, you keep the protection of its mandatory laws and may bring a claim in its courts.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when Lyricsung changes or the law requires it, and the date at the top shows the latest version. Before a change that matters to you, for example to prices, rights or your data, takes effect, we will tell account holders by email; using Lyricsung after that means you accept the new terms.
